Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For rasaje:-
  2. Gram flour 1 cup
  3. Green chillies chopped 2
  4. Garlic cloves 4-5 chopped
  5. Turmeric pwd 1/4 tsp
  6. Asaefotida a pinch
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil 1 tsp
  9. garlic
  10. FOR GRAVY:-
  11. Onion 2
  12. Ginger, garlic, green chilly, coriander(handful) paste 1 tbsp
  13. Tomato 2 medium
  14. Turmeric pwd 1/2 tsp
  15. Coriander pwd 1 tsp
  16. Red chilly pwd 1/4 tsp
  17. Asaefotida 1 pinch
  18. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  19. Salt to taste
  20. Oil to cook

Instructions

  1. For Rasaje :- take gram flour, chopped garlic, chopped green chilly, asaefotida , salt to taste, turmeric pwd, 1 tsp oil in a big bowl ; mix them together by adding water in it and make a thin batter.
  2. Now take a deep pan(kadhai) and place it on gas; pour all the batter in pan and keep stirring the batter on low flame.
  3. After 10 mins the batter get thick.
  4. When the batter will get thick turn of the flame and pour the batter in a greased plate.
  5. Leave the plate with batter aside and let it cool completely.
  6. After 10 mins the batter will set completely and will be easily able to cut into pieces of desired shape.
  7. Deep Fry those pieces till it turns golden brown and keep it aside.
  8. For gravy :- take a deep pan and add two tbsp oil; add cun seeds and let it crack.
  9. Now add asaefotida, grind onion, (ginger,garlic,green chilly and coriander leaves) 1tbsp paste, add other spices too and salt to taste.
  10. Then add tomato paste and cook until oil separates.
  11. Pour 2-3 cups of water and bring it to boil.
  12. Now add fried Rasaje in the gravy and cLose the lid and let it cool for 5mins on low flame.
  13. Turn off the flame and serve Rasaje with roti or rice. :blush::yum:
