Vegetable Pulav

Ingredients to make Vegetable Pulav

  • 2 cups of basmati rice, soaked for 20 minutes
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 3-4 curry leaves
  • 3/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 green chilli chopped
  • 1 small floret cauliflower, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 capsicum, finely choped
  • 1 potato, chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup french beans, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup boiled peas
  • salt to taste

How to make Vegetable Pulav

  1. Boil the rice till it is 90 percent cooked. Strain and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in kadhai/pan. Add curry leaves and green chilli.
  3. Next, add all the veggies and let it cook covered on a medium flame for 5-8 minutes.
  4. All all the spices and mix it well together. Pour in 1/2 cup water and add the boiled rice in it.
  5. Mix it well, cover and cook on a low flame for 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot for best taste.
