Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice-1 cup
  2. Green peas- 1/2 cup
  3. Green chutney 2-3 teaspoon
  4. Water - 2 cups
  5. Oil 3 tbsp
  6. Cumin seeds-1 tbsp
  7. Pinch of hing
  8. 2 Onions, thinly sliced
  9. Chopped tomato-1
  10. turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. Black pepper powder-1 teaspoon
  13. Coriander powder-1 teaspoon
  14. Chopped ginger and garlic-1 tbsp


  1. Soak rice for 30 minutes. Drain excess water and keep it aside
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter cumin seeds. Add hing and mix. Now add chopped garlic and ginger and saute until raw aroma disappears
  3. Add chopped thin slices of onion and saute until brown
  4. Now add chopped tomato and saute until mushy
  5. Add par boiled green peas and mix well
  6. Add green chutney and mix well
  7. Now add turmeric powder,black pepper powder ,salt ,coriander powder and mix well
  8. Add rice and water, cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until done
  9. Gently mix and Serve hot
