It is a greeny greeny recipe and very tasty to eat.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Basmati Rice 1 cup
  2. Spinach 1 cup, chopped
  3. Mushrooms 1/2 cup, chopped
  4. Onion 1 chopped
  5. Tomato 1 chopped
  6. Green chilly 5-6
  7. Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  8. Cloves 3
  9. Cardamom 1
  10. Bay leaf 2
  11. Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  13. Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
  14. Oil 4 tablespoon
  15. Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  16. Vegetables (carrot, beans,potato) 1/2 cup, chopped
  17. Green peas 1/4 cup
  18. Lemon juice 2 tablespoon
  19. Coriander leaves 1/2 cup chopped
  20. Pudina leaves 1/4 cup
  21. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 20 min.
  2. In pressure cooker , heat oil , add bay leaves, cinnamon cloves ,cardamom, stir for 2 minutes
  3. Add Onion, fry till golden brown . Add tomato and cook until tender
  4. Add garam masala powder and dhaniya powder. Mix well
  5. Grind spinach, pudina, green chilly and coriander leaves to fine smooth paste
  6. Add ground paste to cooker with Ginger garlic paste,turmeric, salt. Mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes
  7. Add mushrooms,vegetables and green peas, fry 2 minutes.
  8. Add 2 cups of water and lemon juice and bring to boil. Add rice, mix and cook for 3 whistles
  9. Once steam is released, gently mix.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot
