ABOUT Mushroom pulao RECIPE

Mushroom pulao is an easy,quick, aromatic & tasty Indian pilaf. This is one pot meal. It is very healthy pulao.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice. 2 cups
  2. Clean & sliced mushrooms. 200 gm 200 gm,
  3. Sliced onions. 1/2 cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste. 1 1/2 tsp
  5. Lenth wise slitted green chillies. 4
  6. Whole garam masala.
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Red chilli powder. 1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder. 1/4 tsp
  10. Coconut milk. 1/4 cup
  11. Water. 1 1/2 cup
  12. Fresh mint leaves. 1/4 cup
  13. Fresh coriander leaves. 1/4 cup
  14. Oil. 4 tbsp
  15. Ghee. 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice for one hour and drain it
  2. Heat the pressure cooker along with oil and ghee.
  3. Add sliced onions and slitted green chillies and saute for 5 min.
  4. Add the Ginger, garlic paste and saute for till the raw smell disappears.
  5. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder,fresh coriander,mint leaves ,garam masala and saute for 3-4 min.
  6. Add sliced mushrooms and saute for 6-7 min
  7. Now add soaked rice and carefully mix it.
  8. Add coconut milk,water,salt and mix it well.
  9. Now cover with lid and cook till the pressure forms inside or cook for 7-8 min.
  10. After 8 min shift the pressure cooker on griddle/ tawa and cook for 10 min on low flame.
  11. Serve with Raita.
