Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 500 gm
  2. Methi leaves , 3/4 cup
  3. Coriander leaves 2 cups chopped
  4. coriander powder 2 tsp
  5. Kasuri Methi 2 tsp
  6. Tomato puree 2 tsp
  7. Onion paste 2 tsp
  8. Ginger paste 1 tsp
  9. Garlic paste 1 tsp
  10. Chili paste 1 tsp
  11. Whole garam masala 1 tsp
  12. bay leaves 2
  13. oil 4 tsp
  14. ghee 1 tsp
  15. salt to taste
  16. sugar to taste


  1. Marinate chicken with salt ,chili powder , kasuri methi , ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Keep it aside for 2 hours
  2. Grind methi and coriander leaves to make a smooth paste
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add whole garam masala and bay leaves. Roast for a minute. Now add onion paste and stir fry for 3-4 mins. Add marinated chicken and ghee. Mix well. Cover and cook for 15 minutes
  4. Add ground paste and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes. Add all spice powders, salt , sugar and mix well. Add 1 cup water and bring to boil. Cover and cook until chicken is tender and gravy has achieved desired consistency
  5. Serve hot with rice or roti
