ABOUT Aaloo Lacha Puri RECIPE

Potatoes or Aalo it contains fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B6 content, coupled with its lack of cholesterol, all support heart health. Being a high carbohydrate food, potatoes have always been shunned by dieters. In India this ingredient is used in many forms like - in Partha, Vada, Samosa, Pakoda, Veg and Non Veg Curries and of course in Dessert too. Today in Jai Ki Rasoi Se used this healthy ingredient and made "Crispy Aalo Lacha Puri" served with curds and pickle

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All Purpose Flour (Maida) - 250 Cup
  2. Boiled Potato - 2 Medium Sized
  3. Finely Chopped Green Chilies - 1 Tablespoon
  4. Finely Chopped Green Coriander - 1 Bunch
  5. Chat Masala - 1 Tablespoon
  6. Garam Masala - 1 Teaspoon
  7. Carom Seeds (Ajwain) - 1 Teaspoon
  8. Corn Flour - 2 Tablespoon
  9. Oil - 1/4 Cup for dough
  10. Oil - For Frying as per your requirement
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add all-purpose flour, mashed boiled potatoes, finely chopped green chilies , green coriander, garam masala, chat masala, oil and salt. Mix well
  2. Add adequate water, knead to form stiff dough. Rest the dough for 20 minutes
  3. Divide the dough in equal portions. Roll into three rotis and keep aside
  4. Add 2 tablespoon oil and corn flour in a bowl. Make a paste.
  5. Take a roti and apply the paste. Place another roti and apply the same paste. Finally place the 3rd roti on top
  6. Make roll of the rotis
  7. Cut the edges of the roll and divide it into equal portions
  8. Gently roll puris of medium size
  9. Deep fry puris till they turn golden brown.
  10. Serve hot with curd and pickle
