Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boiled Jeera Rice - 2 cup
  2. Methi leaf- 1.5 cups
  3. Cinnamon- 1 inch stick
  4. Clove-2
  5. Salt- to taste
  6. oil- 2 tablespoons
  7. Onion-1 , thinly sliced
  8. Small tomato-1 , chopped into big pieces
  9. Green chili-2
  10. Ginger garlic paste-2 tablespoons
  11. Gram masala-1 teaspoon
  12. 1/2 cup thick coconut milk
  13. Water-4.5 cups

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in heavy bottom pan. Add cinnamon, clove, green chili, saute for a minute, add onions and saute until golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook until tender
  2. Add chopped methi leaves and stir for a minute. Add coconut milk and gently stir
  3. Add adequate water and salt, bring to boil
  4. Add rice and cook until rice is 75% done
  5. Sprinkle gram masala powder , cover with aluminum foil
  6. Cook about to 15-20 minutes over low heat
  7. Gently stir rice and serve warm with raita or salan
