Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ivy gourd 500 gms
  2. Sambar powder / Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  3. Coconut grated
  4. Salt
  5. For seasoning oil
  6. Mustard
  7. urad dal
  8. Hing
  9. curry leaves


  1. Heat a kadai. Add oil. When it is hot add Mustard. When Mustard cracks add Urad dal, hing and Curry leaves. Saute
  2. Add cut ivy gourd and required salt. Mix well
  3. Add little water and close with a lid to cook Vegetables
  4. When ivy gourd is cooked, Add red chilli powder / Sambar powder. I have used Sambar powder
  5. Add grated coconut. Mix well
  6. Ivy gourd fry ready to serve
