An amazingly super easy side dish that can be made in no time. Looks tempting with a lovely colour. It will be a perfect accompaniment to rotis and chapatis.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Ivy gourd 250 gm
  2. Oil 3 tbsp
  3. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  7. Coriander seeds crushed 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander leaves chopped 1/4th cup


  1. Wash and slice the ivy gourd.
  2. The slices should be medium thick.
  3. In a pan, heat oil. Add crushed coriander seeds.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and fry it a bit.
  5. Next add the other spices and saute well for a minute.
  6. Finally add the sliced ivy gourd.
  7. On a medium high heat, stir fry it for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Cover and cook for another 15 minutes.
  9. It will be done easily. Stir fry it for a little longer duration if you prefer it to be more crispier.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander before plating it out.
  11. Serve hot as a delicious side dish to many an important meals.
