Perfect for winters, Persian Loz is a blend of richness of almonds with ecstatic saffron. This is a simple yet applealing sweet. A must try for all the mommies.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 140 gms almond flour
  2. 100 gms sugar
  3. 1/4 tsp saffron
  4. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  5. 1/3 cup water
  6. Oil/ ghee for greasing


  1. In a cup take 1/4 tsp of saffron and add 2 tbsp boiling water
  2. Let the saffron soak for about 20 mins
  3. In a wok, add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/3 cup water and bring it to boil
  4. Keep stirring and cooking till the sugar mixture thickens
  5. Now add the saffron water and cardamom in it and cook for 1-2 minutes
  6. Now turn off the flame and add the almond flour in it
  7. Keep stirring till you get a smooth consistency
  8. Now take a greased (with oil/ghee) utensil and and spread the loz mixture on it
  9. Cut into desired shapes when lukewarm
  10. Your saffron Persion Loz are ready to serve
