ABOUT PEPPERY MIXED DHAL BONDA RECIPE

Combination of urad and Toor dhal with little rice makes this bonda a healthy protein rich snack. Pepper the main and solo ingredient which is the highlight of this dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dhal 12/ cup
  2. Toor dhal 1/2 cup
  3. Raw rice 1 fistful
  4. Freshly crushed pepper 2teaspoon
  5. Onion 1
  6. Coconut chips 1/4 cup
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Curry leaves 1 fistful chopped

Instructions

  1. Soak dhals and rice for 30 minutes only.
  2. Cut onions and coconut.
  3. Grind pepper coarsely.
  4. Grind soaked dhal and rice in a mixer.
  5. Add onion, coconut, pepper, curry leaves and salt to taste.
  6. Heat oil in wok in medium flame.
  7. Pinch batter little by little to make bonda.
  8. Wait till color turn to golden brown.
  9. Pepper is the only highlighted ingredient in this bonda.
  10. It's healthy snack even for a diabetes patient.
  11. Serve bonda with any chutney or sauce.
