Kolkata street style potato curry is a delectable potato curry from kolkata road side food stall..kolkata is very popular for road side kocuri /kachouri and tarkari...This tarkar is made with potato and various flavourful spices.. This road style potato curry you can make easily at home..

Ingredients Serving: 4

Potato- 4 cut into cubes
ginger + green chili paste - 1 tsp
cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Dry red chili - 2
turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Chili powder- 1/2 tsp
salt as required

Instructions

Heat a cooker with 1 tbsp oil .temper with cumin seeds ,coriander seeds , fenugreek seeds and red chili.
.once you get nice aroma .add potatoes , ginger and green chili paste ,turmeric and chili powder and salt as required..give a good mix...
.now add 1/2 cup water...give a good stir...close the lid of cooker..wait for 2-3 whistle..
.Then turn off gas..allow to release pressure
Then open lid... smash few potatoes and mix with gravy....keep gravy as per your desire consistency...
..check seasoning.... Ready to serve with kachuri ,luchi ,parotta..
