Spiced grape wine is a mixture of spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg cardamom and candid peel. Combining spices and infusing the flavours are done in two stages. This homemade spiced wine is an quiet intresting recipe unusual than the regular wine recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Black grapes 1/2 kg
  2. Sugar 1kg
  3. Wine yeast 1 teaspoon
  4. Boiled cooled water 2 litres
  5. Lukewarm water to dissolve yeast 1/4 cup
  6. Cinnamon 3 stick
  7. Cardamom 4
  8. Nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Cloves 3
  10. Candid peel few pieces


  1. Wash grapes and dry on a kitchen towel.
  2. Dap well with tissue paper and let it rest and dry for few minutes.
  3. Take a clean dry vessel and mash grapes with wooden ladle.
  4. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  5. Add frothy yeast to the grape mixture.
  6. Add sugar and let it dissolve. Add two pieces of cinnamon to it.
  7. Grape mixture starts to froth.
  8. Transfer this to a clean dry and prepared jars. Cover with a cling film. Prick holes on top to expel carbon dioxide.
  9. Store in a cool dark place.
  10. Wine will start to ferment.
  11. Wine preparation takes 21 days to get ready. Every day it should be mixed with wooden ladle.
  12. Grape must should be mixed well.
  13. After 21 days strain the must.
  14. Take a clean dry vessel and add all the spices.
  15. Heat the spices. Fine aroma of spices expels well. Add clear wine to it.
  16. Heat the wine mixture for 15 minutes.
  17. Let the flavours infuse well with the wine.
  18. Cool down and let it rest for a day.
  19. Strain and serve beautiful spiced homemade grape wine.
