This is a yummy desert that can be even enjoyed by elderly people, proteinaceous and soft in texture.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Suji 1 cup
  2. Jaggery 1/2 cup
  3. Cardamom powder 2 teaspoon
  4. Salt two pinch
  5. Grated paneer 1/2 cup
  6. Water 2 cup
  7. Oil for deep frying
  8. Ghee 2 tablespoon


  1. Take a deep pan pour 2 cups of water into it & put on the flame to boil.
  2. Then add two pinch of salt ,ghee & cardamom powder into the water.
  3. Now add the jaggery & grated paneer, then after a minute add suji slowly slowly into the water. At the same time stir continuously to avoid forming of lumps.
  4. Then reduce the flame to low & allow it to cook for another couple of minutes & you will find a thick mixture of suji & water.
  5. Now keep the mixture on a flat plate to cool. after half minute take a little ghee & knead it well.
  6. Grease your hands & divide the dough into equal portions.
  7. Then flatten the dough balls with your palm.
  8. Now heat oil for deep frying & deep fry these pithas in medium flame till golden brown.
