ABOUT Hara Bhara Kheema... RECIPE

Full of healthy Greens, this is what makes it unique. Made with spring onions, leek and a little of capsicum in fusion with lamb mince, it is a perfect recipe for the pregnant women and the elderly too.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Lamb mince 500 gm
  2. Leek 1 bunch chopped
  3. Capsicum large chopped 2
  4. Spring onion greens 1 bunch
  5. Red onion chopped 1
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Green chillies chopped 3
  8. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  9. Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  10. Kasoori Methi 1 tbsp
  11. Garam masla 1 tsp
  12. Coriander leaves chopped 1/4 th cup
  13. Oil 3 tbsp
  14. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and add ginger garlic paste.
  2. Shallow fry it for a minute and then add the chopped red onion.
  3. After done add the chopped greens, both the the spring onions, chopped leek and the bell peppers.
  4. Add salt and the rest of the spices too.
  5. Finally add the lamb mince to it.
  6. Cover and cook on a medium flame without adding any water.
  7. Lamb mince gets done very easily and therefore no need to add any water. Let it cook in it's juices for 20-25 minutes.
  8. After the stipulated time, open the lid and saute it on a high flame until oil starts leaving the edges of the cooking pot.
  9. Add kasoori methi to it.
  10. Sprinkle some garam masala next.
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve it hot as an excellent side dish to pulaos, rotis and parathas.
