Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Raw turmeric ( kanchi haldi) 500 grams
  2. Green moong dal flour 250 grams
  3. Powder Sugar 150 grams
  4. Ghee 1 cup
  5. Chopped almonds 1/4 cup
  6. Chooped cashews 1/4 cup
  7. Ghee 1/2 tablespoon


  1. Wash, peel and grate kachi haldi and keep aside.
  2. In a heavy bottom pan, add 1/2 cup ghee and roast green moong dal flour on low flame. Till it change the colour. It take approx 15 to 18 minutes. Transfer it to a plate and keep aside.
  3. Add 1/2 cup ghee in same pan. Roast grated raw turmeric on low flame till it golden brown. It also take 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Now add roasted green moong dal flour and powder sugar. Mix well.
  5. In small pan add 1/2 tablespoon ghee and heat it. When the ghee heated switch off the flame add chopped almonds and cashews.
  6. Mix almonds and cashews and mix well. Cool down.
  7. Transfer to an airtight jar.
