ABOUT Paneer Bhuji toast RECIPE

Paneer bhurji toast is an Indian style paneer sandwich which includes paneer bhurji prepared in a simple style within no time. Paneer bhurji toast is a tasty paneer based dish made with cottage cheese and also a quick breakfast/snack recipe. Paneer is a good source of protein, has high calcium content and helps in building strong bones and teeth to a certain extent. Since it is very high in protein, it is best for kids.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For PANEER BHURJI:
  2. Oil - 1 teaspoon
  3. Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Onion - 1/4 cup
  5. Green chilli - 1 teaspoon
  6. Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  7. Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  8. Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  10. Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  11. Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  12. Tomato - 1/4 cup
  13. Crumbled paneer - 1 cup
  14. Salt - to taste
  15. Fresh cream - 1 tablespoon
  16. Fresh coriander leaves - 2 teaspoons
  17. For ASSEMBLY:
  18. Pav bread - 2
  19. Processed cheese - 1/4 cup
  20. Onion ring - 6 slices
  21. Fresh coriander - 2 teaspoons

Instructions

  1. For PANEER BHURJI : In a pan, heat some oil on medium heat, now add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Now add chopped onion and saute for 2-3 minutes . Now add add chopped green chilli, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute again. Add chopped tomato and cook for 2-3 minutes, add grated paneer and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add salt, fresh cream and cook.
  4. Now add fresh coriander leaves.
  5. For ASSEMBLY : Slice pav bread from the middle and add a layer of paneer bhurji on the sliced pav, add some grated cheese, onion rings and fresh coriander.
  6. Bake the assembled slices in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Serve hot immediately, with ketchup or any of your favorite chutney.
