ABOUT Dal Muradabadi RECIPE

A delicious dal made with 2 types of pulses, that goes very well with roti or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1cup yellow moong dal
  2. 1/2cup orange masoor dal
  3. Salt
  4. 1/4tsp roasted cumin seeds
  5. 1/4 tsp roasted corinder seeds
  6. 2 dry red chillies
  7. 1/4tsp turmeric powder.
  8. 1/4 tsp caraway seeds
  9. 2 tsp desi ghee
  10. 2 tsp chopp ginger
  11. 1 lemon juice
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. 2 green chillies

Instructions

  1. Soak both the dals together for 10-20 minutes.
  2. Boil them with salt, turmeric powder,caraway seeds. Mix them well once the dal is cooked enough.
  3. Roast the cumin seeds, coriander seeds,dry red chilli. grind them coarsely.
  4. When you serve add the tempering of ghee that we are going to make now.
  5. Heat some ghee in a pan, add chopped ginger.
  6. Sprinkle green chili
  7. Add the ground masala.
  8. Put green coriander.
  9. Add lemon juice
  10. Eat hot.

It goes well with plain rice.
