Dal Moradabadi

Ingredients to make Dal Moradabadi

  • 1 cup of petite yellow lentils ( dhuli moong day)
  • salt to taste
  • 1tsp of jeera powder
  • 1whole red chilly
  • 1 lemon for juice
  • 1tsp of chat masala
  • Couple of pinch heeng
  • 1tsp of chopped ginger
  • 50 GM of cottage cheese

How to make Dal Moradabadi

  1. Soak the lentils for 20 minutes in water.
  2. Take pressure cooker, add heeng & lentils. Boil them.
  3. Once 3 whistles are attained, switch off the flame. Open the lid once the pressure has settled down.
  4. Cook for 10 minutes more on a simmer flame
  5. Before serving sprinkle chat masala, jeera powder, crushed chilli
  6. Ginger, lemon juice & mashed cottage cheese..
