Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Oil 3-4 tablespoons
  2. Hung curd/yogurt 2 full tablespoons or 1/2 cup
  3. Potatoes 5-6 boiled and pricked all over with a fork (small round baby potatoes or small egg shaped baby potatoes)
  4. Onions 2 sliced well
  5. Green chillies chopped 2
  6. Coriander leaves chopped, few to put inside the dish and some for garnishing
  7. Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red chillie powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Garam masala powder 1/4 teaspoon
  12. Ginger 1 tukra kadukasad (optional)
  13. Garlic 5-6 cloves chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. HEAT 3-4 TBSP OIL IN A NON STICK PAN
  2. ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF CUMIN SEEDS, TURMERIC, SALT & RED CHILLI
  3. ADD 2 SLICED ONIONS, FRY TILL BROWN
  4. ADD 5-6 BOILED & PRICKED WHOLE POTATOES
  5. TOSS WELL
  6. ADD 1/4 CUP CORIANDER LEAVES & 2 GREEN CHILLIES, FRY FOR 2-3 MINS
  7. TAKE OUT THE POTATOES IN A PLATE
  8. ADD 2 TBSP HUNG CURD TO THE PAN, SAUTE
  9. PUT THE POTATOES BACK IN THE CURD GRAVY
  10. ADD 1/4 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER, TOSS
