ABOUT Whole Fish Tandoor RECIPE

Here is the Whole Fish Tandoor recipe, everyone's favourite dish. Here I have used a whole Red Snapper Fish. But any other fish with less bones can be used. Here secret ingredient is kasuri methi (Dry fenugreek leaves).

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. A Whole Red snapper(cleaned and peeled)- 500 gm (approx)
  2. Ginger paste- 1 tbsp
  3. Garlic paste- 1.5 tbsp
  4. Green Chilli paste- 1 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Mustard oil- 2 tbsp
  7. Roasted chickpea flour(besan)- 1 tbsp
  8. Hung card- 2 tbsp
  9. Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp
  10. Kashmiri Red chilli powder- 1.5 tbsp
  11. Paprika powder- 1 tbsp
  12. Cumin powder- 1/2 tbsp
  13. Coriander powder- 1/2 tbsp
  14. Garam Masala powder- 1 tbsp
  15. Nutmeg, Mace powder- 1 tsp
  16. Lemon juice-2 tbsp
  17. Crushed Kasuri methi(Dry fenugreek leaves)- 1.5 tbsp(Secret Ingredient)
  18. For smoking,
  19. Charcoal- 1 piece
  20. oil-1 tbsp
  21. For servings,
  22. Few onion rings
  23. Lemon wedge
  24. Green chatni
  25. Some chopped spring onion for garnishing

Instructions

  1. First soak the fish with water and 1 tbsp lemon juice for 10 minutes. Then wash it and pat dry it. In this way no bad smell will be coming from your fish.
  2. Then take all other ingredients and leftover lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Mix it well.
  3. Marinates the fish with this. Keep it in refrigerator for 3 hour.
  4. After that bake it in oven at highest temperature for 20 minutes. Once done check the fish and take it out.
  5. Heat the charcoal in flame until it starts to burn.
  6. Then place it in a metal bowl with a tong.
  7. Add oil in it.
  8. Immediately, Keep the bowl in chicken and cover the chicken completely so that no steam can escape.
  9. Leave it for 4-5 minutes.
  10. Then garnish and serve it in your party.
