Fish Kababs

Ingredients to make Fish Kababs

  • Fish : 5-6 slices
  • onion:1 chopped
  • Green chilli:1 chopped
  • coriander leaves
  • Red chilli powder: 2 spoon
  • turmeric powder:1/4 spoon
  • Garam masala:1/2 spoon
  • ginger and garlic paste:1 spoon
  • salt : as required
  • lemon juice:2 spoon
  • corn starch:3 spoons or 1 egg
  • Bread crumbs:1/2 cup
  • oil : for frying

How to make Fish Kababs

  1. Wash and rinse fish slices. Use any fleshy fish . I used Seer fish as it is easy to remove bones.
  2. Chop onion, green chilli and coriander leaves in to small pieces
  3. Boil fish by adding water and pinch of turmeric powder.
  4. Let it boil for 5-6 mins and allow it to cool down for sometime.
  5. Remove bones and mash it well.
  6. Now add all the above ingredients one by one except corn starch and bread crumbs.
  7. Mash it well and keep it aside for 10-15 mins .
  8. Now make any shape as you like.
  9. Take a corn starch in a bowl & add little water .
  10. Keep the bread crumbs ready.
  11. Dip the patties in corn starch and spread well with bread crumbs on both the sides.
  12. Heat oil and fry fish Kababs on medium flame
  13. I used non stick pan for shallow fry. You can use more oil for deep fry.
  14. Once it is done transfer to plate. Wipe excess oil by using tissues.
  15. Serve hot with mayonnaise sauce.

My Tip:

You can even use boiled potatoes
