ABOUT vegetable poha RECIPE

poha [flattened rice] cooked with all the seasonal vegetables, very healthy and very easy to make.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. poha [flattened rice] 2 cup
  2. cauliflower 3-4 florets cut into small pieces
  3. carrot 1 medium chopped
  4. green peas 1/2 cup
  5. beans 5-6 chopped
  6. onion 2 big chopped
  7. green chilli 2 chopped
  8. spring onions chopped - 3 tbsp
  9. tomato 2 sliced
  10. oil 3 tbsp
  11. salt
  12. sugar 2 tsp
  13. zeera [cumin seeds] 1 tsp
  14. coriander leaves chopped
  15. turmeric powder 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. wash the poha and soak in lil water for 5-10 mins
  2. in a pan heat oil and zeera
  3. then add onion and saute for 1 min
  4. now add carrot,cauliflower and beans to it and cook covered
  5. now after 2 mins add tomatoes,peas,salt,turmeric powder and green chilli and cook for another 2 mins
  6. when tomatoes r well cooked add spring onions and saute
  7. add poha and mix well everything
  8. now add sugar and mix well
  9. add coriander leaves and serve hot
