Gobhi Poha

Ingredients to make Gobhi Poha

  • Thick Poha [flattened rice] 3 cups
  • Chopped onion 1 cup
  • Green peas 1/2 cup
  • Chopped cauliflower 1.5 cups
  • green chillies chopped 5
  • coriander chopped 1/2 cup
  • Grated coconut 1/2 cup
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • salt 1.5 tsp
  • oil 1.5 tb sp
  • Rai [mustard seeds] 1/2 tsp
  • Jira [cumin seeds] 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • lemon Juice 3 tsp

How to make Gobhi Poha

  1. Wash Poha thoroughly in the colander. Keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in the pan.
  3. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. After it splutters ,add chopped green chillies.
  4. Saute..add chopped onions. Saute till soft.
  5. Add green peas & Cauliflower. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add salt. .sugar. .mix properly.
  7. Add Poha...mix thoroughly. ..cover with the lid.
  8. Cook on low flame for about 3 minutes.
  9. Saute again...add lemon juice and 1 tb sp water. Mix properly.
  10. Steam for 2 minutes.
  11. Done...garnish with coriander leaves and coconut.
  12. Ready to serve.

My Tip:

Addi 1 tb spn water in the end will keep Poha soft n tastes yummy when cool also.
