This is a traditional punjabi breakfast made with maize flour and fenugreek leaves, served with some pickle and curd on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 cup maize flour
  2. 1 cup chopped green methi leaves [fenugreek leaves]
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. Salt
  5. 1/4 tsp carom seeds [ajwain]
  6. Luke warm water
  7. Butter/ghee/refined oil


  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add luke warm water to the above and knead a semi soft dough. rest for few minutes.
  3. Now make rotis out of the same using palms.
  4. Heat a tawa and roast the rotis.
  5. Serve with a dollop of butter on the top.
