Soft Khaman further moistened and eaten in sweet and sour gravy. Light and filling.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Khaman dhoklas- 10 no.
  2. Oil- 1 tsp
  3. Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  4. Asafoetida- A pinch
  5. Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
  6. Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
  7. Jaggery- 11/2 tbsp
  8. Kokum- 2 no. Or Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  9. Water- 1 cup
  10. Corriander
  11. Salt- As required


  1. Heat oil and mustard seeds and asafoetida.
  2. As soon as they crackle, add water and allow it to boil.
  3. Add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
  4. Add jaggery and kokum.
  5. Let it become little thick and add pieces of khaman. Switch off the gas immediately. If not using kokum add lemon juice now.
  6. Serve immediately with coriander garnish.
