This is a typical traditional dish of odisha, my way.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice flour - 2 cup
  2. Warm water - 1/2 cup
  3. Salt - to taste
  4. Chana dal - 1 cup
  5. Jeera seeds - a pinch
  6. Chopped green chillies - 2 - 3
  7. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  8. Ginger - 1 inch stick

Instructions

  1. Soak chana dal for 4 -5 hours.
  2. .Then drain chana dal and add ginger and green chillies.
  3. .No need to add water,while grinding, smooth paste is ready.
  4. Mix finely chopped coriander leaves, cumin seeds and salt.
  5. . Now stuffing is ready.
  6. Take rice flour.Mix salt and make a smooth dough with the help of warm water.
  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal size balls.
  8. On your palm, with the help of your fingers expand the pieces 2-3 inches in diameter.
  9. Now add 1 - 2 tbsp of dal filling on it,wrap up the dough
  10. Place it in a steamer and steam for 10-15 mins.
  11. Enjoy with coriander chutney.

It can be deep fried.
