ABOUT jowar ka doda RECIPE

winters brings lots of fresh green vegetables and different flours. Jowar doda in Sindhi cuisine is a multi faceted breakfast recipe which can be made by adding fresh greens,here I have added radish, radish leaves and spring onions it to make it not only healthy but tasty to eat too.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups jowar flour
  2. 1/4 cup grated radish
  3. 2 sprigs of radish leaves
  4. 2 sprigs of green onion
  5. 1 tsp black pepper powder
  6. 1 tsp carrom seeds
  7. salt to taste
  8. ghee, as required
  9. lukewarm water, as required


  1. Chop the radish leaves and spring onions in fine pieces.
  2. Take the flour, add salt and dry spices.
  3. Add the radish and both the greens.
  4. With lukewarm water, bring the flour together, do not over knead.
  5. Roll the dough either with hand or on a cling film into small circular paranthas or doda.
  6. Put these on a hot tawa and shallow fry on both sides with ghee.
  7. Serve hot with butter and curd.
