Tried little diff with maida and corn flour...Came out very smoothy and yummy...

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Refined maida flour 150 grams
  2. Cornflour 50 grams
  3. Baking powder 1.5 tablespoons
  4. Milk powder 100 grams
  5. Caradamom powder 1 tablespoon
  6. Yogurt 1/4 cup
  7. Water 2 tablespoons
  8. Hot milk 2 tablespoons
  9. Almond essence 1 tablespoon
  10. Refined oil for deep frying 3 cups
  11. For syrup: water 2 cups
  12. Sugar 3 cups
  13. Green cardamoms crushed 6 to 7
  14. Cashew nuts 5 to 6
  15. Almond essence 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. For Gulab Jamuns sift all dry ingredients and keep aside.
  2. Stir in all wet ingredients (yogurt, milk and water).
  3. Start kneading into a dough. Lastly, add ghee and Keep kneading until smooth and soft dough is formed.
  4. Let the dough rest in the fridge for 20 mins.
  5. Now start making small-medium sized balls.
  6. Let us prepare our syrup. Combine water, sugar, rose petals, cashew nuts, cardamom in a big wok.
  7. Remove the cardamom skin from the syrup.
  8. Take a deep frying vessel. Add oil and keep on low heat.
  9. Once the oil is hot fry these stuffed balls until golden brown in color.
  10. Please don't fry for a long time else your jamuns will be black Or burnt.
  11. Now drain these fried jamuns on absorbent paper. Stir balls into hot syrup
  12. Refrigerate for 30 mins. Serve chilled Or hot.
