ABOUT Oats Kheer RECIPE

This is a simple oats kheer recipe. you can serve the kheer for breakfast or as a dessert after meals. Ghee gives a rich flavour and aroma to the kheer. It is very simple,healthy and so sweetly good with 3 royal ingredients like oats, sugar and milk.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup oats(plain oats)
  2. 2 cup milk
  3. 1/4 cup sugar(or as per taste)
  4. 1 tbsp ghee
  5. 6-7 chopped cashewnuts
  6. 6-7 chopped almonds
  7. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  8. 1 tbsp saffron milk

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a kadai or pan add cashewnuts and almonds and fry till colour changes slightly.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of oats,stir well and saute for 2 minutes on a low flame.
  3. Now add milk, 2 tbsp saffron milk and and let milk boil for a minutes.
  4. Once milk started boiling add  1/4 cup sugar and cardamom powder mix it well .
  5. Mix very well simmer the kheer for 2 minutes or till oats soften and cardamom powder and mix it well don't cook the oats kheer too much it will become thick kheer.
  6. Serve warm or chilled as a breakfast,healthy dish or sweet dessert after meal.
