ABOUT Chocolate Espresso Custard Pudding RECIPE

Chocolate and coffee are two ingredients which can lift up anyone’s mood.....the combination of these two is perfect match made in gastronomical heaven. Puddings are my favourite…easy to make and yum to indulge. Though I have made chocolate pudding many a times before…today I thought of giving it a flavoursome lift by adding espresso coffee powder and melted chocolate.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Milk
  2. ½ cup Milk at room temperature
  3. 4 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  4. 2 tbsp Corn starch
  5. 1½ tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa powder
  6. 1 tbsp Espresso powder
  7. 4 tbsp Chocolate, finely chopped
  8. To Garnish:
  9. ½ cup Whipped cream
  10. Fresh Cherries
  11. Few Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix in ½ cup of milk with cocoa powder and corn starch. Whisk to avoid lumps. Run this mixture through a strainer and set aside.
  2. Add milk to a sauce pan and bring it to boil. Once the milk starts to boil, reduce the flame and whisk in sugar and Espresso powder.
  3. Stir continuously to avoid scorching the bottom of the sauce pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
  4. Now add in semi-sweet chocolate along with cocoa and corn starch mixture from step 1.
  5. Stir until the pudding starts to thick and coat back side of the spoon. Run this mixture through a strainer to avoid lumps and pour it into the desired cups or glasses.
  6. You can serve this pudding warm or chilled by garnishing with swirl of whipping cream topped with fresh cherry and Luvit Carazypops or you can even garnish with chocolate curls.
