Strawberry surprise

Ingredients to make Strawberry surprise

  • 6 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, strained
  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of light brown sugar
  • 8 large strawberries + 4 extra for decorating
  • 4 small leaves of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 8 teaspoons of oats
  • Dark chocolate shavings for decoration

How to make Strawberry surprise

  1. Chop the 8 large strawberries in a bowl, add the brown sugar, vinegar and mix using a spoon.
  2. Set a pan that has a lid on the stove over medium heat and add the strawberry mix in it. Close the lid and cook for 6 minutes stirring occasionally.
  3. Meanwhile, in another bowl mix the yogurt with honey and set it aside.
  4. Once the strawberries have been cooked, take them off the heat, take the lid off and set them aside to cool for 5 minutes.
  5. Place 1 teaspoon of yogurt mixture, 1 teaspoon of oats and 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of the cooked strawberries. Do not mix. You need this dessert to be in layers.
  6. Repeat the previous step. You should run out of the involved ingredients by the time you finish this step aside for some yogurt.
  7. Top each glass with the little bit of the yogurt left, decorate with a strawberry, a small basil leaf and the shavings of the dark chocolate.

My Tip:

I put another small leaf of basil inside the glass between the first 3 layers.
