ABOUT Jaggery and Indian Coconut Pannacotta.. RECIPE

An interesting Indian twist to the most famous dessert from Italian Cuisine. Jaggery is used in combination with coconut milk and vegetarian jelly agar agar. It is soy free, nut free and gluten free too. Absolutely a healthy dessert idea for everyone. The lovely taste of jaggery will be loved by kids as well.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Jaggery 100 gm
  2. Coconut milk 400 ml
  3. Water 150 ml
  4. Coconut flakes 1/2 cup
  5. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Agar-agar 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Add water, jaggery pieces ,agar agar flakes and cardamom powder to a pan.
  2. Heat it on a high heat at first.
  3. As soon as it starts bubbling, lower the heat.
  4. Cook until the jaggery dissolves completely for about 5-8 minutes.
  5. Finally add coconut milk and coconut flakes to this jaggery mix.
  6. Stir well and pour into a dish or individual moulds immediately.
  7. Refrigerate it until set for 2-3 hours.
  8. Serve it chilled for a healthy guilt free after meal dessert to your family and guests.
