Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Black chana boiled - 250 gms
  2. Onion - 1 big finely chopped (optional )
  3. Ginger - half inch piece finely chopped
  4. Green chillies - 2 finely chopped
  5. Mustard seeds - 1tspn
  6. Split urad dal - 1 tspn
  7. Dry red chilly - 1 or 2 broken into halves
  8. Curry leaves - few
  9. Fresh grated coconut - 1 / 4 th cup
  10. Coconut oil - 1 tbspn
  11. Turmeric pwdr - half tspn
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak the chana overnight and later pressure cook them with salt and turmeric pwdr & keep it aside
  2. Now in a kadai put oil & when hot add the mustard seeds , dry red chilly...and split urad dal...
  3. After it splutters put the curry leaves & chopped ginger and green chilly and saute well...
  4. Then add the chopped onions & saute again for a few mins ....
  5. Now add the boiled chana and mix well....check salt and add if required
  6. Then add the grated coconut and finally add some chopped coriander leaves.... Turn off the gas.
  7. Serve hot as a snack or as a side sabzi....
  8. Ready to be served
