ABOUT Coconut Milk Panna Cotta.. RECIPE

A desi version of super duper dessert. This is the most simplest one of many a variations on this with just 4 ingredients in all. It just melts in your mouth and satisfies our craving for something sweet to the core. Coconut milk makes it creamier, only thing is to make sure that it is fresh and better still if homemade. People from the South can definitely whip up this with the freshest of coconut milk. Also to be remembered is that it should be consumed within 4 days.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Coconut milk 800 ml
  2. Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  3. Sugar 1/2 cup or more (to taste)
  4. Agar-agar strands 5-6

Instructions

  1. Add agar agar flakes to half a glass of water.
  2. Boil it on a medium flame until nicely dissolved.
  3. To this, add coconut milk and sugar.
  4. Stir well in order to mix everything well.
  5. The mix starts to thicken in a few minutes.
  6. Remove from the flame and let it cool down a bit.
  7. Add vanilla essence to this and mix.
  8. Pour it in a big dish or single portion small ceramic bowls.
  9. Refrigerate until set.
  10. Serve it chilled as it is or with any fruit compote drizzled over it or top it up with cashewnuts as i did for a nice crunch.
