It is a very classic Rajasthani dish. I make a twist in this recipe adding oats.enjoy with toor dal, cucumber vegetable, pickle.ur family just love this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour. 1 Cup
  2. Oats 1/2 cup
  3. Salt 1/3 tsp
  4. Melted Ghee. 1/4 cup
  5. Luke worm water. 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Mix all purpose flour,oats,salt & mix well.
  2. Add water in parts and start kneading.
  3. Water may vary for the moisture content of all purpose flour.so be alert when u adding water.
  4. Knead, knead, knead very well.kneading is very important.
  5. Dough should be a little bit tight than regular dough.
  6. Rest the dough for few minutes.
  7. Divide the dough into 4 part's.
  8. Flatten with rolling pin ,roll thick roti.
  9. U can give it a heart shaped with cutter.or keep it as circle.it is ur choice.
  10. Heat pan add 1/2 tsp ghee & wipe with a cloth.
  11. Put roti on heated pan.make some holes in roti stabbings with a knife.
  12. Keep checking to not burning the back side.
  13. Add some ghee,flip the roti.press roti with a cloth on medium to lower flame
  14. Make pattern on roti with fingers or tooth pick.
  15. Take a metal net place on the pan.roast the patterned side.
  16. Once done.turn off heat.apply ghee on over all parts.
  17. It keeps roti soft.
  18. Serve hot with thick Dal,any kind of vegetables or as to your taste.
