Ingredients to make Kathirikay kothsu

  • Brinjal big 1
  • tamarind - 1 tsp
  • Hing [asafoetida] - 1 pinch chilly powder - 1 tsp salt Oil

How to make Kathirikay kothsu

  1. Roast the brinjal on open flame.
  2. Once roasted enough, peel the charred skin.
  3. Now heat some tamarind in water. Add the mashed roasted brinjal along with some salt to the water.
  4. Now heat some oil and add hing and chilly.
  5. Add the above tempering to the tamarind water.
  6. This is ready to be served.
