Kibbeh Bi Laban: a mixture of the savory Kibbeh meat and delicious Greek yogurt, an essential ingredient in Lebanese cuisine. Here i have made Indian style kibbeh in yogurt sauce. Try this tasty delicious gravy!!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Indian veal (beef) - 1 cup
  2. Channa dal ( split chickpeas) - 1 tablespoon
  3. Cinnamon stick- 1
  4. Clove - 2
  5. Chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Cumin seed - 1 teaspoon
  7. Pepper powder- 1 teaspoon
  8. Onion chopped dice - 1/2 cup
  9. Green chilli - 2
  10. Egg - 1
  11. Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  12. garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  13. Vermicelli - 1/2 Cup
  14. egg white - 1
  15. Coriander Leaves - 1/2 Cup
  16. Mint leaves - 1/2 Cup
  17. Greek yogurt- 1 cup
  18. Corn starch 1 tablespoon in 1/4 glass of water
  19. Oil for Deep frying
  20. Salt
  21. Coriander leaves and mint leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take beef in a cooker add channa dal , cumin seeds, clove , cinnamon, red chilly powder, pepper salt and water and pressure cook for 15 minutes
  2. When it is done drain the excess water and put the mixture into grinder add onion, green chilly, garam masala, cumin powder, egg, coriander leaves and mint leaves and salt grind it
  3. Apply oil in your palm take enough amount of mixture and make balls out of it
  4. Dip each in egg white and coat it with vermicelli and deep fry until it becomes golden brown.
  5. Now let us make laban. Take a sauce pan pour yogurt add salt and heat it in low flame . Do not boil it
  6. Add corn starch slurry to it and cook over low heat until it comes to a simmer, stirring continuously in one direction with a spoon.
  7. Add prepared meat balls. Remove the pan from heat . Garnish with coriander leaves and mint leaves
  8. Serve hot with rice , kuboos , nan etc
