Its a very delicious & aromatic Bengali sweet, generally make in Vijaya dashami & Diwali.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour...2cup
  2. Salt
  3. ghee
  4. Mawa...1cup
  5. Condensed milk...1/2cup
  6. sugar 1 cup
  7. Cloves/labang


  1. Make a dough of all purpose flour, salt, ghee and water.Keep aside.
  2. For filling heat 1 teaspoon ghee in a kadhai ,add mawa and condensed milk.Mix it well .
  3. Make sugar syrup of 1 cup sugar and 1cup water on medium flame.
  4. Now take a small portion from dough and roll it like round roti.
  5. Put 1 spn filling in the centre of the roti and fold it.Seal it with a clove.
  6. Deep fry it in ghee in medium flame till it turns Golden brown.
  7. Dip the labang latika in hot sugar syrup for 15 minutes.
  8. After 15 minutes take out from syrup and serve it.
