Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour - 1 cup
  2. Mawa / whole dried milk - 3/4 cup
  3. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  4. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  5. Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  6. Crushed cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
  7. Raisins - 2 tbsp
  8. Cloves - 4 - 5
  9. Clarified butter - 2 tbsp
  10. Oil - for frying
  11. For sugar syrup
  12. Sugar - 1 cup
  13. Water - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. For stuffing
  2. Heat the pan add mawa / whole dried milk on medium flame.
  3. When it color changes in light brown switch off the gas.
  4. Add coconut,raisins,cashew nuts and cardamom powder.
  5. For covering
  6. Take a bowl mix all purpose flour and clarified butter and mix well
  7. Knead to make a soft and smooth dough with the help of little amount of water
  8. Keep aside for 15 mins.
  9. Divide the dough into equal size balls and roll out each ball into a round puri.
  10. Stuff the mawa / whole dried milk filling in the puri and fold it.
  11. Put theclove / lavang in the centre.
  12. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry these lavang latika until golden in colors.
  13. Fry in batches
  14. Drain extra oil.
  15. For sugar syrup
  16. Now prepare the sugar syrup of one string consistency.
  17. Dip into the sugar strup for ten mins mins.
