always wanted to try lavang latika and today happy to try it with chocolate flavored,its very easy and fast to make,I have used khoya/mawa for stuffing and dry fruits with Hersheys chocolate syrup..believe me the taste is awesome and this Diwali you surely try..so friends lets make this lavang latika

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gms all purpose flour
  2. 50 gms ghee
  3. enough ghee for deep frying
  4. 150 gms khoya
  5. 50 gms powdered sugar
  6. 2tsp Hersheys choclate Syrup
  7. 2 tbsp chopped nuts of your choice
  8. 1tsp of cardamom powder for stuffing
  9. 1 cup of sugar for syrup
  10. water for sugar syrup 1/2 cup
  11. 1tsp of cardamom powder for syrup

Instructions

  1. take flour in bowl and add ghee
  2. bind the puri like soft dough with water
  3. cover and keep aside for 15 minutes
  4. add khoya to pan and roast till it turns soft
  5. switch of flame and cool it completely
  6. now add powdered sugar
  7. add dry fruits
  8. now add chocolate syrup
  9. mix everything
  10. now make equal balls of dough
  11. roll a puri and place stuffing in middle
  12. fold from one side
  13. apply some water and fold from other side
  14. now it will take rectangular shape ,fold from opposite side
  15. again apply water and fold from opposite sides
  16. press all the sides
  17. now press a clove to pack from all sides
  18. keep ghee for frying
  19. fry on slow flame
  20. fry all lavang latikas
  21. mix sugar and water and keep on flame
  22. make single string syrup
  23. dip all lavang latika in syrup for one minute
  24. remove it
  25. serve in a plate
