ABOUT Tawa Butter Naan RECIPE

A tawa butter naan is a super easy recipe and made on Tawa instead of tandoor

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Maida/All purpose flour - 1 cup
  2. 3/4 tbsp baking powder
  3. 2/3 tbsp cup of curd
  4. 1/4tbsp baking soda
  5. 1/2 tbsp sugar
  6. 1tbsp oil
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Butter
  9. Water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine 1cup maida, salt to taste,1/4 tbsp baking soda, 3/4 tbsp baking powder and 1/2 tbsp sugar.
  2. Next add 2/3rd cup of curd and mix well.
  3. If sticky then add requied amount of maida knead dough.
  4. Punch well and make a non sticky soft dough.
  5. Add a tbp of oil and coat well.
  6. Cover with cloth and rest for minimum 1hour.
  7. After an hour, pinch a mediam/ small size ball.
  8. Dust with some maida and roll to a ovel shape using rolling pin.
  9. Make sure you do not make too thin or thick.
  10. Apply water on one side of naan.
  11. Now slowly flip over and put it on hot tawa.
  12. Slightly press, this helps the naam to stick on to the tawa and when you can flip the tawa upside down it well be intact.
  13. Brush some butter over the naan.
  14. Now after a min flip the tawa upside down and cook naan on fleam till they golden brown
  15. Finally add more some butter.
  16. Serve
