Tnondekai (Ivy guard) majjige huli

Ingredients to make Tnondekai (Ivy guard) majjige huli

  • Thonde kai( ivy guard) 1 cup
  • curd (sour) 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli 2
  • fresh coconut 1cup
  • curry leaves
  • salt
  • mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • red chilli 2
  • hing a pinch
  • coconut oil

How to make Tnondekai (Ivy guard) majjige huli

  1. Slit the thondekai and chilli
  2. Add little water and salt..boil till thondekai gets cooked well
  3. In a mixer jar add coconut and few curry leaves blend them to a fine paste by adding required amount of water
  4. Transfer the paste to the cooked tondekai..Stir well and boil for 5 mnts.
  5. Then add curd and mix well....turn of the flame.
  6. Heat oil in a pan ..add mustard seeds, red chilli,hing ....when mustard seeds splutter pour the tempering over the majjige huli
  7. Mix it well and serve it hot rice...
