ABOUT CRAB FRIED RICE RECIPE

Simple yet delicious. Enjoy the sumptuous meal with some Manchurian and I bet you will ask for once more. The cooking process calls for a speed hand and quick stirring. So read the recipe well before you proceed. Keep everything handy and then prepare the dish. While mixing keep the flame high as it is necessary that the veggies should be cooked but retain their crunch.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. One cup crab meat.
  2. 4 cups cooked rice.
  3. Soy sauce 2 tbsp
  4. Salt
  5. Black pepper powder 2 tbsp
  6. Chopped garlic 3 tbsp
  7. Green chili 2
  8. Onion 2
  9. Eggs 2
  10. Green onions stalk chopped half cup
  11. Bell pepper 1
  12. Refined Oil 3 Tbsp
  13. Few casew nuts

Instructions

  1. For the crab meat wash the whole crab and boil it with little water. When the shell changes color switch off the flame.
  2. Cool down to room temperature. Now break the shell and collect the meat. Two medium sized crabs should be enough to yield a cup of crab meat. If u get the canned crab meats then you can use it .
  3. For rice boil sufficient water in a wide vessel. Add about 2 to 3 tbsp salt. If u are using basmati rice soak it for 15 minutes before hand. If using normal rice add rice to boiling water. Stir once. Rice should be 3/4 th cooked.
  4. Immediately drain the water and spread rice on a plate and cool down under fan. Rice should not be sticky.
  5. Finely slice onions. Slit chilis. Finely slice the bell pepper and chop the onion greens .
  6. Now add 3 tbsp refined oil .add chopped garlic. Stir for a second then add onions and chili.
  7. Fry till onions turn light brown. Add green onions. Fry for a minute. Add cases nuts. Stir. Add salt as per taste. Now add the crab meat and mix well. Keep the flame on high. All veggies should be cooked but retain their crunch.
  8. Now make a space at the center. Remove the veggies to sides. Oil will gather at the center of the pot.
  9. Break the eggs. One by one at the center and scramble immediately. When all eggs are broken mix everything well and add rice. Mix quickly. Add soy sauce. Mix well so that the sauce coats the rice well.
  10. Add very fine sliced bell peppers,green coriander and black pepper powder. Mix everything and switch off gas. Cover for five minutes and serve hot.
