Coconut pulao

Ingredients to make Coconut pulao

  • rice : 1 cup
  • coconut milk : 2 cups
  • onion : 1
  • ginger garlic paste : 1 tablespoon
  • cardamom : 2
  • cloves : 2
  • cinnamon : 1 inch piece
  • oil : 2 tablespoon
  • Greenpeas : 1/4 cup (optional)
  • salt : to taste

How to make Coconut pulao

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cardamom, cinnamon and cloves.
  2. Add onions and saute well until they become golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
  4. Add coconut milk, rice, peanuts and salt.
  5. Stir well and close the pressure cooker. Wait for 2 whistles.
  6. After two whistles switch off the flame. Open the lid once the pressure is released.
  7. Pulao is ready. Serve hot with a chutney of your choice.

My Tip:

Different vegetables can be added to the pulao.
