Ingredients to make Carrot dessert ( gajar ka halwa) in cooker

  • 500 gm carrots or 5 cups of grated carrots
  • 2 cup full fat milk
  • 2 cup sugar or as required
  • 4 tbs ghee
  • 1 tbs raisins
  • 1 -1tbs cashews, almonds, pistachios, cardamom powder.
  • 1 cup = 250 ml

How to make Carrot dessert ( gajar ka halwa) in cooker

  1. First thinly slice all the dry fruits, also powder the cardamom and keep aside.
  2. Rinse, peel and grate carrots.
  3. Add ghee in pressure cooker and also add carrots and milk and mix well.
  4. Cook the carrot halwa mixture up to first whistle or about to get first whistle about 15 min on low or medium flame.
  5. Now take this mixture in pan and add sugar in it .
  6. Now cook and stir it more, so that it thickens. Now swich off the flame.
  7. Garnish this with dry fruits and serve hot.

My Tip:

We can make with orange carrot as well if red one is not available.
