Broccolli Paneer Kadai

Ingredients to make Broccolli Paneer Kadai

  • Broccoli - 100 gm
  • paneer - 150 gm
  • onion - 2
  • ginger - grated
  • Tumeric - 1 tsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala - as per taste
  • bay leaves - 1 nos
  • Green chilli - 1 ( optional)
  • asafoetida - a pinch
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • cornflour - 1 tbsp
  • Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  • honey -1 tbsp
  • almonds powder - made from 10 to 12 pieces
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp, optional (Alternatively you can use red chilli powder as per taste.)
  • salt - as needed
  • oil - as needed

How to make Broccolli Paneer Kadai

  1. To make the paste, soak the almond powder in warm water add corn flour to it. Alternatively soak thr almonds in warm water and grind it to paste, then add corn flour to it.
  2. Cut the broccoli, onion, paneer into slices. Cook the broccoli with water in a pan for 5 minutes, then strain, wash in cold water and set aside. Add a little tumeric powder to the boiling water.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add the bay leave,asafoetida, cumin seeds, when they splutter, add green chilli, onion and fry till it turns brown in colour.
  4. Add the ginger,cubed tomotes , salt, when its soft then add garam masala, corriander powder, pepper powder, tumeric powder, honey, kasuri methi.
  5. Add the broccoli, mix well then add almond and corn flour paste. Stir it well then add the paneer and mix well again. Add water if required and cook for a couple of minutes. then turn off the stove.
  6. Garnish with corriander leaves and serve with rotis or paratha.
