Ingredients to make Multi grain and vegetable khichdi

  • green gram split 1/2 cup soaked and drained
  • rice 1+ 1/2 cup soaked and drained
  • jowar 2 tablespoon soaked and drained
  • bajra 2 tablespoon soaked and drained
  • Ragi 3 tablespoon soaked and drained
  • Amarnath 3 tablespoon
  • cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Asfetoida 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • carrots 2 chopped
  • French beans 4 chopped
  • Green peas 1/4 cup
  • ginger paste 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves 12
  • ghee 1/4 cup

How to make Multi grain and vegetable khichdi

  1. Add ghee to a pan and add cumin seeds and asfetoida. Add ginger paste.
  2. Add curry leaves and add vegetables and stir constantly.
  3. After few minutes add jowar, bajra, ragi and amaranth. Cover lid and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Afer this add soaked dal and rice give a stir. Add 4 cups water and cover the lid. Cook till all grains are soft.
  5. Serve hot and drizzle some ghee over this and garnish with fried curry leaves.

My Tip:

You can use more veggies.
