Kothambir badi or (dhaniya k muthiya)

Ingredients to make Kothambir badi or (dhaniya k muthiya)

  • Two cups besan
  • One cup sooji
  • One cup wheat flour
  • Two cups chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • One tbsp red chilli powder
  • salt according to taste
  • Garam masala
  • Half tbsp ginger paste
  • 2-3 chopped green chillies
  • Two tbsp oil
  • One tbsp sesame seeds

How to make Kothambir badi or (dhaniya k muthiya)

  1. Dry roast sooji besan and wheat flour for few minutes
  2. Now mix it in a bowl and add all the ingredients except oil and sesame seeds
  3. Add tbsp oil and knead into dough. Divide into 2 or 3 parts and shape it into logs
  4. Steam them till 15-20 minutes in a steamer.
  5. Now cut into bite size pieces. Heat oil in kadai and add sesame seeds till crackling
  6. Add the chopped wadies into it and mix gently
  7. Serve hot with your favourite chutney and tea
